Challenge
In most companies, leave still lives in a spreadsheet, a chat or the office manager’s head. Someone “thinks” they have days left. Someone goes without approval. Someone messages a colleague at work — and that person has already been at the sea for two days.
HR reconciles Excel, the manager hunts for a request in email, payroll asks about sick leave separately. There is no single place that shows remaining days, request status and who is away right now. That creates conflicts, double approvals and extra calls to people who will not answer.
Solution
We put it all in one system. Vacation CRM holds the company roster: each person has quotas for vacation, sick leave and time off. They open their balance, pick dates and send a request to their manager. After approval the days are deducted automatically, and the team calendar marks that this person is away.
Colleagues stop pinging people on leave. The manager sees a queue of requests, not a thread. HR stops being the only “source of truth” about other people’s days off.
